Honey they are jealous of our fabulousness....either that or they are in the closet and trying to fight their own feelings and desires.

For the same reason racists LIVE in the culture and group section, they want to piss people off. And their lack of intelligence makes them think that different, means wrong. There are plenty of hateful, white supremacists sites where they can spout homophobic, racial garbage to people that are stupid enough to actually agree with them, but they rather come here and invoke mean- spiritness and hate because misery loves company. The best thing to do is don't respond, but unfortunately people here always give them exactly what they seek, ATTENTION.

Many homophobes would much rather post their views on an internet forum than go out in the street, or the workplace, and address GLB&T people in person.
Why?
Because it's SAFE; they're anonymous, hiding behind a computer screen, and don't have to face the consequences of the hateful things they say.

To your question I have to say I don't know but, good one! some people have to feel the need too. I feel the need to say we are what we are and If they can't stand the heat I say to stay out of the kitchen. I never redefine myself for anyone I am what I am and I might add I'm proud of it. (GAY)! Oh by the way those ones are late. Being gay is late and over populated they need to get with it.

Welcome to the smell of the coffee Sunshine!Ha!Ha!Yep,they still hate. The Christians still believe their own lies. And gay people are still gay.I have laughed at the people who claim to hate gays so vehemently but hang out on the LBGT site. That alone lets you see just how Chickensh*t these folks are. What I like is that masturbation is homosexual sex and everyone has done it...So the homophobe is in essence afraid of themselves...Ha!Ha!
Hugs!

I always just assumed that like me, they catch sight of them on the front page, and when you see a question like yours "OMG why do...?" and its not clear what the subject matter is, so their curiosity or utter boredom gets the better of them and they click and BAMN - like Alice going through the looking glass, they suddenly find themselves in a rainbow coloured world that terrifies and threatens them, full of Queens, cheshire cats, mad hatters and tea parties.
Either that, or maybe they have these urges they just aren't ready to deal with yet.
As for me, I sometimes don't even understand how women find us men attractive, never mind other men... but I couldn't give a damn what consenting adults do in their search for happiness. Good for them if they find it.

as long as you have more then 10 humans on this earth you will have "phobics" from the time the romans went to Catholicism & made it a sin to be gay the people have feared it either as a gay person being outed & chastised or a heterosexual worried about whether they will be hit on by a friend or not. sad but true!

Oh this is nothing. Go look at the hate in the religious forum. And note the names. Many of them are from here. Spewing the very hatred they whine about here. I find hypocrisy rather humorous no matter where I find it.

They do it to get a rise out of us. They think if they spout off some anti-gay rhetoric, we're supposed to get scared and back off or something. What a lot of these people don't realize, there are many of us that do our homework and refuse to let ignorance reign in our midst.

You really didn't know how prevalent homophobia still is?
It's still legal in most of the country to fire someone just for being gay, no matter how well they do their job.
People still get beat up, molested, even killed, just for being queer.
I'd say the world is still pretty backward.

Wow. With all due respect, you have been a bit sheltered from the news. Homophobia is alive and well. Look at the constant anti gay referendums in almost every election cycle.
