We had a Intervention for a family member, but it was too late, they died soon after the Intervention of cirrhosis. If her parents or other loved ones don't step in soon, hitting her bottom may be death,

That is the philosophy of AA., letting a person hit their "bottom" but I can attest that some people don't live long enough to hit their "bottom". That's why Interventions started. If people don't step in and force the person to treatment, like having her comitted ,she may die before she realizes how bad off she is.

xthexope; If you had understood the question you would realize, I think she has to have professional help, being casual and saying a person is going thru a rough phase is different than having their children taken away. She needs someone to address her drinking issues, she is in serious trouble

raycolerick:: that was a great interview with Eric Clapton, what a nice, decent guy he is, for someone who came from Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll days, he is a decent human being

I wouldn't doubt it that she can recover. She's just running on the SINGLE mommy's night out with all the partying garbage. It would be a good effort if she took Eric Clapton's advice (see cnn.com for the interview) and basically get out of the limelight (i.e. the paparatzi/press.) For the obsessed, they need to get a life. I'm an Ozzy fan (yet a small drinker) so her business is pretty down but not out.

They say the apple never falls far from the tree. Why do you think Lindsay Lohan is a drug infested skank? It's easy to understand when you take notice that mom is out partying with her like a star struck teenager. Why is Paris Hilton dumber than a box of rocks? Look no further than the parents, who accomplished nothing other win the genetic lottery. Likewise, Britney came from an uneducated, trailer trash family. They might be very good and decent folk, but clearly they lacked the intelligence to raise children properly. So, I doubt they could spell intervention, let alone perform one. Britney is a lost cause. And really, who freaking cares? We seem to neglect our own families and worry more about mindless celebrities. You can only hope her younger sister learns from her sister's mistakes, but she probably won't.

you know what? Britney is doing just fine. Why dont you become an insanely famous popstar, get married, have your husband screw you over and then have him get your kids taken away. kevin Federline only wants the kids because britney will have to pay him child support. all he cares about is money. Britney has been through a crap load of hell, and all you people saying crap about her is just making it worse. so she has made a few mistakes. i'm sure you have, too. you putting up this question was a mistake. people need to cut her some slack. she just got back on the charts trying to please people with more music, and all people do is cut her down. just leave her alone. all of this does effect her. you think that she doesnt know about this, and that she wont pay attention to stupid crap on Yahho! Answers, but let me tell you, she gets the news about it. she's not retarded. she is going through some hard times. her new music video was top prove that she is not fat, and she never was. her little pooch at the VMA's was nothing compared to what some other people have.

so just stop

What? Are you kidding me? Have you seen her family? Of course they can't spell "intervention". They can't even spell "cat".

I think her family has attempted to intervene on several occasions, with no luck.

You can't help someone that doesn't want to be helped, or doesn't think they need it in the first place.
