One week on the pill is enough to make it work. You will most likely be just fine. If you plan to not use condoms in the future anyway, your chances are no higher now than they will be in future months.

Yes, it was too soon. Birth control usually takes at least a month to totally get into your system and take effect. Wait until you miss your period before you take a test. If you aren't pregnant, you should really consider using condoms along with your pills just to be on the safe side.

You should be on the pill for at least a month for proper effectiveness ! Didn't your doctor tell you that ? Didn't you read the instructions that come with it ? Maybe you should have asked this question BEFORE you had unprotected sex ! NOT AFTER ! No sence being on the pill , if you're not even going to use it properly !

I just got my pill last week, my doctor told me that it takes at least a month of taking the pill correctly for it to work like it's supposed to. It might depend on the pill though. I take Loestrin24. Maybe you should ask your doctor, if you don't understand completely :)

Most pills tell you to wait one week before you do not use protection. We waited two weeks just to be sure and we were fine. Good luck!

Yes it takes a couple months for birth control to take full affect. But dont freak yourself out to much until you start thinking you are having symptoms.
