My son was playing a game on the internet and was holding certain keys down and the programs is upside down. I have to turn my monitor upside down in order to use computer for anything.

Just press CTRL+ALT+UP key to return to the normal screen.
(Press all the three keys at same time)
CTRL => Control Key
ALT => Alt key
UP => Up Arrow

The most common key combination for changing the screens orientation is crtl+alt+ one of the arrow keys (in your case up arrow).

Some graphic cards also allow you to change the orientation by right clicking on the desktop, select properties, and go to the Setting page. Click on Advanced and there may be an option for setting it there.

If both those fail, check the web site of the manufacturer of the laptop. Some use a different key combination.

there shoudl be a small icon down in the bottom right of the Windows taskbar (you may have to click the arrow pointing to the right to expand and see all iucons).

right click on the monitor icon and change its orientation to 0 degrees and it should re-set itself.

you may also be able to accomplish this by going to Control Panel, choosing display or monitor, and change the orientation there also but it really depends on the manufacturer

maybe your monitor is upside down
