The seat was colder and the paper was rougher in the privy than it is with indoor plumbing.
Now that I'm old and bald,
the plumbin's half worn out,
what used to be my pride and joy,
is now just my water spout.
When we were younger,
I watched her boobies dance,
But now with some years gone by,
She tucks them in her pants.
The old crank that used to be on the front of a car
is now behind my steering wheel.
Nature is to be enjoyed and can't be improved on.
Things of true value aren't things.
Why rush to get somewhere that you can't wait to get back from ?
If possible, we really COULD wait to get older and grown up
(as if that really happens as we get older).
Spectacles aren't really that much fun to "dress up" with.
The whole neighborhood doesn't really enjoy us sharing our boom box music with them. It's about as popular as "when I was you age" remarks.
When to take our meds, eat our meals, and go to bed -- nice to know which bed is ours as well. (remember when there was a handy little chamber pot under the bed? where do they wander off to ?)
If you force yourself into asking, the offspring and grankids are always willing to lend a hand.
If you drink too long from the Y/A fountain, you'll become addicted.

There are a few things that I always try to remember:
1. Practice the golden rule
2. You can't change anyone - regardless of how good your intentions are
3. Trust your gut. It's seldom wrong
4. Enjoy each day as though it's your last day on earth. It just may be.

How to balance a check book, what to do in an emergency, how to tell a scam, what not to spend money on, how to shut up, not to interfere with your grown children, keep some opinions to yourself, avoid gossips, be a true friend and confidant, not to call old people after 9 pm--5 am calls are fine. ;0)

Don't believe everything you hear.
The right thing to do today, will be the wrong thing tomorrrow.
You can't understand where people are 'coming from', until you know where they've been.
If you want to do something-go for it, you'll never be any younger than you are right now.
Eat dessert 1st, you never know which moment is your last. lol

Nothing last forever
It's better to give than receive
Love and 'you' are the answers
Do your best in all things
Protect your heart and mind from evil
You only have today
You are loved
