Yes, I'm afraid that I do. It is easy to let yourself be overcome by those things. But, overcoming them is what takes strength, char actor and will power, even though, from time to time, we still slide back to them. That can't be helped, because it now a part of our "make-up".

Yes, in a way. Though it stems from circumstances beyond my control, ideally one can stay free by quiet communion with God in the present. I have to keep my thoughts from entanglement in feelings that go beyond what is possible in the moment. This includes not projecting past events upon what might happen in the future. I'm working on reminding myself each day to stay in the simple purity of listening to God and trusting His love.

i still find myself wanting the past back, i will make cds of all the music i listened to at a special point in my life and i like to go to the places i visited back then also
