We will lose to the Indians. We did not come this far to lose. I predicted this would be a good serious, but we will prevail. This is our year, and Nobody will take that away, but the Rockies are the ones I am worried about. If Wakefield can pitch a good game tonight and we can pull off the win, than we have a chance, but if we lose tonight. It's over. At-least we our not like the Yankee fan's. Blaming the bugs, we have just been out pitched and out played.

I think Cleveland wins tonight. Wakefield just is hit or miss. When he is on, he can baffle hitters with that knuckleball. This is a game Boston must win. Byrd is also the same, when he's on, he can shut down the Sox. Even if Wakefield is on, and Boston does win, then Beckett has to face Sabathia in Cleveland. If it was in Boston, I'd say Beckett wins this game. So assuming Boston wins tonight, Cleveland will win Game 5 and be up 3-2. Game 6 in Boston, I completely give the edge to Schilling. Game 7 though, the Red Sox hopes rely on the overated Dice-K against the underated Westbrook. Tribe will win Game 7 then. But I don't think the Red Sox win tonight and I think Sabathia, with the chance to close it out in Game 5 will beat Beckett.

They really only need to split the next 4 games, while Boston needs to take 3 of 4. I think the Indians task is much more manageable.
Even more amusing is the fans that believe that Boston will sweep the next 3. To them I ask, You wouldn't be from Boston would you?
I don't know many outside of Boston that think the Red Sox are going to win in 6, but they are entitled to their opinion.
The truth is, any of us answering this can't go on knowledge at all, but our personal assessment of the series past and future.
I will stand by my pre-series prediction, Indians in 6.

I think the Indians will hang on to win this series & why are Boston fans responding with, the Indian fans are acting like they won the World Series? Well, if my memory is correct, so many of the Red Sox Nation was boldly & be cocky about how they were going to beat Cleveland & win the World Series. Now that Boston is behind 2-1, are Boston fans going to be arrogant & cocky? You guys under estitmated the Indians just like the Yankees did, & look what is happening to your beloved Red Sox. Win the series before you start bragging how they are going to win their 2nd World Series.

The Cleveland Indians come into this Game 4 matchup with a 2-1 series lead over the Boston Red Sox, thanks to Monday night’s solid effort by starting pitcher Jake Westbrook in the Indians’ 4-2 win over Boston.
Tonight’s matchup between these two almost evenly matched teams, features two aging veteran starters that still know how to get the job done in Boston’s Tim Wakefield and Cleveland’s Paul Byrd.
Key Red Sox Trends
The Red Sox are 5-0 in Wakefield's last 5 starts on grass.
- The Red Sox are 7-1 in Wakefield's last 8 starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance.
- The Red Sox are 10-3 in Wakefield's last 13 starts after scoring 2 runs or less in their previous game.
Key Indians Trends
The Indians are 5-0 in Byrd's last 5 Tuesday starts.
- The Indians are 5-1 in Byrd's last 6 starts when their opponent scores 2 runs or less in their previous game.
- The Indians are 5-1 in Byrd's last 6 starts after allowing 2 runs or less in their previous game.
Key Totals Trends
The Over is 4-0 in Wakefield's last 4 starts vs. American League Central.
- The Over is 10-1 in Wakefield's last 11 starts on grass.
- The Over is 4-0 in Byrd's last 4 home starts vs. a team with a winning record.
- The Over is 7-1 in Byrd's last 8 home starts.
Key Head-to-Head Trends
- The Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Cleveland.
- The Under is 4-1 in Wakefield's last 5 starts vs. Indians.
- The Red Sox are 9-4 in the last 13 meetings in Cleveland.
The Pitchers: Red Sox starting pitcher Tim Wakefield is 17-12 in 31 starts covering 189.0 innings. Wakefield has 110 strikeouts, 64 walks and an ERA of 4.76.
Indians starting pitcher Paul Byrd is 15-8 in 31 starts covering 192.1 innings. Byrd has 88 strikeouts, 28 walks and a 4.59 ERA.
Analysis: Maybe it’s me, but the Cleveland Indians all of a sudden look like the team with the more confidence – and more importantly – the stronger pitching staff.
With Wakefield and Byrd likely canceling each other out with respectable performances, this game could hinge on the performance of each team’s bullpen – and the timely hitting that has helped Cleveland to their one-game lead. While I think it is still a very real possibility that the Boston Red Sox will win this series, I have to go with the Cleveland Indians to win tonight’s contest and take a 3-1 lead back to Boston with the possibility of closing out the series in Game 5.

The Indians definitely have the advantage tonight. Wakefield hasn't pitched since September and is a big question mark. The Indians are throwing out Paul Byrd, who coasted through the much more potent Yankees lineup.
The Indians are more hungry than the BoSox. If the Indians win tonight, they will make it to the World Series.

It won't be easy... Boston's lineup is very difficult to pitch against b/c they are equally strong against right and left-handed pitching. CC and Carmona have to pitch better and smarter against the BoSox...
It does seem the Tribe can hit against Boston starting pitching except for Beckett. So it might be a scoring fest for the rest of the series.

I think the Tribe can pull it off, not easily but they can pull it off, partly because I counted Westbrook as a loss before this series started, but we need some good pitching out of Byrd tonight to set it up.

I think Boston will come back and take this series...they are only down 2-1 and their offense is bound to come out of hibernation...I honestly think the Sox will take the next 3.

THE KEY IS WINNING TONIGHT, IF THEY DO THEY'LL BE UP 3-1 WITH MUCH MOMENTUM ON THEIR SIDE. ANOTHER KEY IS THAT IF THIS SERIES DOES GO 7 GAMES, SABATHIA AND CARMONA HAVE TO STEP IT UP! ID LIKE TO SEE THEM NOT EVEN GO BACK TO BOSTON, BUT 2 OF 3 AT HOME WOULD BE GREAT. THEY SHOULD WIN IF THEIR PITCHING CAN BE DOMINATE!
