He says no for now, but I think it would be a wise move for him if the opportunity presented itself. It would give him valuable experience.

Hard to say. If he served for two terms as VP, he'd probably be an odds on favorite to get his party's nomination to run for President then.
A few snags, however:
1. Not sure Obama would accept being "second string" to Hillary (or to anyone, for that matter).
2. Not sure Hillary would want a running mate who is much more charismatic and likeable than she is. (He would just accentuate her negatives.)
3. Don't think Obama would really attract any votes to the ticket. Anybody who'd be drawn to vote Democratic because of Obama would have voted Democratic anyway.
4. If Hillary serves two full terms (2008 - 2016), I'm not sure the 2016 election would be a good time to run as a Democrat. For one thing, we tend to get tired of any party...plus Hillary will do some things that I don't think most Americans are going to like. She'll raise the hell out of taxes, for example...and though she's talking about just raising taxes on "the rich"...we'll all wind up paying a lot more. (Bill claimed the same thing...then gave us the largest peacetime tax increase ever.)

As Mike Huckabee said, vice president is the job everybody says they don't want but nobody turns down.

So YES.

No way, and he shouldn't. My respect for Obama is growing day by day. He was supposed to roll over and play dead to make way for someone who is on an ego trip , but he's held his ground.
That takes political courage, something the other candidates haven't shown me.
