Have you ever seen the mutual button?

My friend has it and I get curious because I'm on there.
Does anyone know what mutual means and why its there.

The mutual button means that both you and your friend share the friends listed in the mutual catagory.

They are on your friend list and your friends friend list.

mutual friends means the friends you both have.
