Victory? Only in that we have managed to still keep clear the difference between rights and privileges. Perhaps if instead, the DNC would stop being obstructionistic in their mentality and try doing something to improve education so that people could then get better paying jobs and take care of themselves. Instead, they're more interested in giving government sponsored hand-outs, keeping the stupid stupid and pushing their socialist agendas instead of promoting capitalism. No Child Left behind was a good attempt, but without the liberal teachers unions support, it was just more cannon fodder. Capitalism really works well when everyone works and puts forth effort. My answer to the welfare slugs and the DNC is you reap what you sew.

No, but vetoing a bill that Democrats think should include 25 year old "children" with a family income of 82 thousand need government healthcare is a victory.

Since you are talking about the SCHIP program can you tell me exactly why there are adults in this program? Lets see
Minnesota 89% adult
Wisconson 66% adult
New Jersey 38% adult
Arizona 53% adult
Michigan 46% adult
Maybe this should be fixed first instead of throwing money down the toilet like the Liberals want to do so they can feel good. You know their motto, let me spend you money like a drunken sailer because, well, ah, screw you.
I really don't see how this program is about children....

It's a bad bill loaded with crap we do not need.
Individual states have programs in place and have had for years.
Why is it that so many of these "poor" childrens parents drive brand new cars?
They can afford the car and insure it but can't afford health insurance?

No one considers 10 million children without healthcare a victory. What is a victory is that a bad bill didn't get passed and we have a chance to really fix the problem with a bill that will handle it effectively.

Nobody is ever denied health care in this country. Don't you mean health insurance? I guess their parents should find better jobs that have health care benies or get a job so they can buy their own.

They don't. The bill that bush vetoed would have expanded the current medical aid to families with an income of 82,000$ a year. 60% of those mention children already have health care through their family and would have been switched over to the government funded socialized plan the Dems were pushing. Also included in that number is a large number of illegal aliens. It is a bad bill.

The Republicans are a mean-spirited cold hearted bunch! They care about the wealthy. I have never meet a true republican that I have liked.
