I once while in college read a boo kcalled "Ishmael". Had I not read this book, I would be wondereing the same thing, but from reading this book, the problem occuring in Africa is due not to their lack of food, but to their lack of birth control and their rate of having children. Before Africa can be helped, they need to seriously educate on birth control. The more children the women in Africa have the harder it will be to keep up with food supply.. Giving them food makes no difference if they keep having more babies. The bad thing is, some will have to die, for the others to live, otherwise their rate of growth will ovetake food supply and everyone will starve. Given the fact that Africa is not lush land to cultivate and grow food, they only have so much area food can be grown on, therefore, they need to cut back on having babies.

Creating more bureaucracy. They expect the U.S.A. to foot the bill for everything they do. The U.N. does nothing, not even stop genocide in Darfur, let alone stop hunger in third world countries. It is a useless organization.

Politics aside, the roads are pathetic.
You can put all the grain into a port that you possibly can, but if there's no effective way to get it off the ports and inland to the people, nothing is going to happen.
