As long as there have been Republicans and public restrooms is my guess. They call it the "Party of Lincoln" - and "Honest Abe" is said to have shared his bed with the Captain of the Presidential Guard. So these "values" seem to have been in place for some considerable period of time.

Listen, I really don't care if this senator is gay or not. I don't believe all the media hype over this. Yeppers its been all over the net and I am quite tired of it. If that is all we have to talk about around here that this senator dropped his pants all I have to say is I drop my pants, skirts and do the dirty deed all the time. To me there is nothing new under the sun.

There are probably as many gay conservatives as gay liberals. But the platform of the conservative party is anti-gay, so anyone who is gay and conservative is going to be wayy deep in the closet. Hence, Foley, Craig, Haggard, Allen, and probably Mehlman and who knows who else - hang out in public restrooms. Kinda sad.
