I do that from time to time when there's a starry noght and I'm in the mood. Why singe the fingers ? and railroads are getting to be a thing of the past with all the romance of being a hobo taken out of the picture.

You don't have to go to that extreme. You can buy that fake"skin" stuff for wounds or wear rubber gloves. I feel the same way. This is not my country anymore. I am learning Spanish, because I plan on moving south. Canada is too cold. I'm not a wine drinker, so I'll buy some rum for the road & then set up a still. I have dogs & guns for security.(I'm sure I can find out how to get them over the border, although I really don't want to join the groups who could help me do that.) It's all still in the planning stages. Keep in touch. I'll take you along.

just a thought?? if you are on the run wouldnt a name change be less painful? most ID's have your face on them anyway - i guess i am from Nebraska so I am not aware that you get your fingerprints taken except for real estate school.

50 years ago that might have been a good time, but there's all kinds of violence following the rails now, plus life as a whole isn't as romantic now (not that I'm an optimist).
