Hillary Clinton has been a co-sponsor of the anti-Turk genocide resolution, but would she choose to vote for it this week?

Where is the upside in October 2007 to this Armenian resolution?
The bill is opposed by eight former U.S. Secretaries of State, including Madeleine Albright.
Excerpts:

Yes, but why now, with Turkey crucial to an Iraq policy that now has the prospect of a positive outcome? The answer may be found in the compulsive parochialism of the House's current edition of politicians, mostly Democrats. California is home to the country's largest number of politically active Armenians. Speaker Pelosi has many in her own district. Mr. Lantos represents the San Francisco suburbs. The bill's leading sponsors include Representatives Adam Schiff, George Radanovich and Anna Eshoo, all from California.
Pointedly, Jane Harman, the Southern California Democrat who Speaker Pelosi passed over for chair of the intelligence committee, wrote an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times Friday, questioning the "timing" of the resolution and asking why it is necessary to embarrass a "moderate Islamic government in perhaps the most volatile region in the world."

Is the need to smear Bush and placing our own troops in peril merely another ploy by Pelosi and Co. for the pleasure of obtaining more power for her party? Will these people really stoop this low?

I am all about recognizing atrocities but not at the expense of our own troops security! That is especially when this could just as easily be done after we have pulled out of Iraq! Then again a positive resolution to the situation in Iraq seems to be far out of the minds of Pelosi and co..

I wounder when Pelosi will recognize the atrocities that would happen if the Coalition pulls out of Iraq.

***UPDATE! Huge blow dealt to Pelosi's Armenian Resolution!

Anyone that compromises American lives is unworthy of office. Hillary, Pelosi, GW and many more. Believing or non belief in a war is a separate issue. As we do have enlisted personnel in a war, any action by politicians that further endangers those soldiers safety should be viewed as treason. Politicians should focus on solving American issues here at home. Generals are trained to conduct warfare, politicians aren't. Simply put, A leaders biggest concerns should be in preventing war, A generals, in winning it.

It was, if anyone says diff they cant really defend it.

You could even say that "now" that things are cooling off that the democowards are trying to light some fires.

And that my friends is dam evil

If you look at history it shows this all ways gos on, is it all that shocking to everyone?

I would say that it's an attention thing, why not, nobody on any side cares really what happens to anyone except themselfs.

America will fail we let all those who have died for freedom down, from Vally Forge to Iraq, lets hope we rebuild it again with what we learned.

Anyone know if Pelosi got her long range Airforce jet so she dosent have a layover? Did we have to cut funding on new gear for our fighters so that she gets it?

Nancy Pelosi had the power to keep this from getting on the floor.
She invited it. Her congressional district has a large, affluent Armenian population.
Pelosi had long been a co-sponsor of the resolution. The Armenian National Committee, one of the many Armenian organizations that have sought passage of the measure for years, has given her an "A" grade for her stance on Armenian issues.

These Democrats are the same ones that represent a constituency which urges the government to stay out of the internal affairs of other nations. I don't think we can expect a letter writing campaign from Democrats urging Nancy to MYOB.

Turkey is on the short list of US allies that are Islamic and have diplomatic relations with Israel. Apparently Pelosi sees that as expendable for the sake of victory in the 2008 general election.

Personally, I only see Australia as a reliable ally to the US and their people hold Howard in contempt for his stead fastness so, they will be leaving soon too.

The handwriting is on the wall. The divisions in the American political landscape are such that we will have no choice but to turn inwardly and isolate. The US can no longer police the world on it's own with conventional forces and with one ally after another being alienated, fortress America will be the only opton left.

This is typical of the Democrats and shows why they are not ready to lead, the far left brings this issues out and pushes them through with George Soros funding. Harman is exactly right this is not the time for a resolution. Their hatred of Bush and the ability all during this war of making it impossible for our troops has been their goal.

Sure the liberals will defend this action saying "We must hold them accountable for what they done", but 92 years later and this has come up several times in the past, such as the Clinton Administration. This is clearly a way for the Democrats to undermine the Military by causing turmoil with our ally. How can people that believe in Man made global warming and a 9/11 conspiracy be so blind to this act..

It's all a game - like the NFL, NHL and NASCAR.

Power hungry people think they're smart by stacking the deck one way or the other, but when it blows up - it will blow up in their faces as well as ours.

Who really gives a crap about something that happened 90 fricking years ago? We have issues NOW that need to be addressed and stacking the political deck to win an election is not going to repair any of the problems we face TODAY.

Our entire government is out of order and needs to be replaced like the broken toilet bowl that they are. Every last one of them! The two main political parties need to be abolished and the elitists in this country need to suffer the same consequences that they did in France during the French revolution.

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!!

ok, you have a 2 area question right here. First, enable me say that, as quickly as I have been given a flavor of relationship/intercourse, I basically approximately completely went for shy women human beings. I plenty prefer a shy lady over one that basically "takes" it. i like to circulate the action alongside, and shyness is attractive. Plus, a shy lady probable has been with fewer men and is greater careful, ordinarily, so much less danger of illness. yet, the 1st intense lady chum I had made the 1st circulate. i became into too uncertain of myself to %. up cues. This became into 23 years in the past, however. If the guy you're pursuing has been "out of the sport" awhile, he might prefer a jumpstart.

YES! You're right. Turkey allows the US to go through their country to get supplies in to Iraq. Turkey is already very offended about this resolution.

WASHINGTON (AFP) - The US military is looking for a second route to supply troops in Iraq in case Turkey shuts its borders in reprisal for possible adoption of a resolution on genocide in Armenia, a Pentagon official said Tuesday.

"But this is an important relationship," the spokesman stressed. "This is an important logistics hub for our operations in Iraq, and it is our strong desire to maintain that relationship to be able to get the kind of support we are currently receiving from Turkey."

The Ottoman Empire fell years ago, this is a regretable event in history but it's long over.
Todays Armenians need to drop it and move on.
Pelousey and company are playing to old hatereds in an effort to close the US supply lines thru Turkey and force a withdrawl from Iraq. Of course a our servicemen may lack beans, bullets and bandages and some may die,but that won't be Pelousey's fault.
Some extra votes in the election won't hurt the Calif dems either.
