For most people the brain’s left hemisphere is the seat of verbal, mathematical, logical, and other analytical functions including behaviour.
When the alcohol reaches your brain, it dehydrates the brain cells and interferes with the generation of electric messages thus affects your behaviour. When the alcohol leaves your system, the brain cells regain their water. Drinking excessive amounts over a long period of time, however, can impair intelligence and memory. Brain size diminishes as cells are destroyed, and IQ drops permanently.

Rrr its a whole brain thing, geeze. Ether way the FRONTAL LOBE is your center of social interaction, it is the CONICOUSNESS!!! It is the creater. Or rather the home of it. This regulates social behavior which is the thing biggest impacted by alchol, even more then coordination, or really its pretty close, again a whole brain numbing thing. Ether way as the brain begans to numb and slow down, the frontal lobe becomes more and more slogish (along with the rest of the brain) in its ability to regulate or social behavior, this is the biggest indicator of druckness. The important thing to understand is that it doesn't "Change" the individual, it simply slows down there ability to process information. This cause's the so called "lapse in judgement" that we know so much associated with it, but the fact remains its you bady, pure and true, no mask in the way, no fakin it to make it. You are truely who you are when your drunk, which makes alot of us pretty sad individuals.....
