That's a beautiful noble sentiment, though I would have said that the relationship is the home, not the person. People need to work together to keep a relationship healthy. What if something happened to her? Then he would be homeless. Very sad.

I did. I was still living with my parents at the beginning of this year, but was spending every evening with my boyfriend. All I did was go to my parents' house to sleep and shower. I didn't even see it as my home anymore (even though that's where I had grown up). My boyfriend asked me to move in over the summer, and now his home is my home. A house is just a house. It's not a home unless there is love in it.

Yes. I moved in with my boyfriend about a year ago and my house was on the market for a while. When I would go back to it to dust, get a few things etc., it didn't feel the same. It wasn't home anymore. Home is with him.

That IS very sweet. Whew.... lucky her! :-)
I can agree with that. It's a nice notion, at the very least, and God bless anyone who finds that type of love.
I DO believe that your home is where you feel safe, and I know from personal experience that I have had people in my life make me feel safe. So, yes, home can = a great love.

I would be upset! And I would probably sit down and have a talk with my partner calmly. The quote is used in You've Got Mail referring to The Godfather.

yes. you can find home...life is a never ending search. you might spent almost your entire life with a person or in a place and not at home at all. because the heart will always find where its meant to be, or where is feels at home....

THAT IS Beautiful! I have not heard that, but it makes very good sense to me. I have always said I could be happy living in a cave with my husband...he makes me happy...not a material dwelling.
