Defining quality was the over-arching theme of the classic novel "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance".

I recommend it as both a good read and a good place to get a thorough intro on the topic.

There are only two things that wars are fought for. Dependency and religion. The human race is becoming an infestation on this planet. We gnaw away at our natural resources, poison that which we don't feel we need, and eventually we will make this planet inhabitable for humans. Will you kill for a glass of water. Your ancestors are going to be. Some feel that this day can be averted, or at least postponed.
