Use a damp cloth with a drop of mild detergent, but not too much or you will see streaks on your screen. Make sure though you ring out all the water so you won't get anything in your laptops chassis. After you do that then take a soft dry lint free cloth and gently wipe down your screen. Make sure though your laptop is turned off also the power cord and the battery is removed before you do this. Make sure you lay your screen flat on a table or your floor in the open position and you will be fine.

There's a LCD cleaner sold at any stationary stores or warehouse. It normally has a small soft brush to keep the monitor off the dust. Use the chemical /cleaner to spray to microfiber cloth and wipe the monitor.

All those package come together in a LCD cleaner product. It's easy and effective! Hope this will help.

Use a soft cloth and window cleaner. DO NOT use a paper towle! [See other question about cleaning screen and is now fubar]

Spray the cleaner on the cloth not the screen, do not press hard on the screen, wipe gently. This will remove any thing on the screen.

Cation: Some glass cleaners have strong chemicals, if you get the liquid inside the case it will corrode the metal parts!

Plain water (a damp clothe) will degrade the LCD over time and damage it.
Alcohol will dissolve it.

Check at your favorite electronic store, and you will find pre-made wipes for cleaning LCD screen. They are a lot cheaper then a new LCD screen after you have damaged the old one by improperly cleaning it.

Use the cleanest, softest damp cloth you can find. Eyeglass clothes work nicely. Remember to dampen the cloth and then clean the screen (never spray liquids/solvents directly on the monitor).

Yea it's ok to use water... just make sure it's on a damp towel. Don't spray anything directly on the screen.

I use one of those static charge clothes. Its similar to the cloths used for a swifer sweeper. It picks up the dust without ruining the screen. Damp cloth is too much of a risk for me.
