Whether it's local news or cable, it's women doing news, women doing weather and women doing features. Of course, I use the term "news" very loosely.
No offense, but it's hard to take those chirpy high voices at 6AM. I'd rather have some gravitas in the morning.

This is why I don't watch the morning news. Not that I have anything against women in the news, but I'm irritable in the morning, and a high-pitched nasally voice just doesn't do.

The day that Network executives realized that men like to look at hot chicks. The hotter the news chick the better the ratings. The better ratings the more they can charge for commercial time.All the news shows give you the same info. Who cares who reads it?
If you turn off the sound The News is just a fashion show. Good looking men and women in clothes you can't afford. Unless it is a "stand up" at a sporting event. then they dress in clothes they would never wear if they weren't getting paid for it.

When the "news" quit being informative and started being pure entertainment, they had to hire glamorous females to make the program more entertaining, that's all. I don't watch it. I listen to the radio.
