Its ok to love someone even if they don't love you back. If you guys are friends, just remain as friends. Don't lose the friendship. Loving someone doesn't necessarily means the person must love u back. In fact, you never know when the person might like u.
Speaking from personal experience, i once liked a classmate of mine. It occurred over a long span of time and slowly we became closer friends. I enjoyed ever moment being with her and one day i plucked up enough courage to tell her that i loved her. At at point in time, she didn't have any feelings for me. But a few weeks later, she told me that she liked me.
So loving someone is all about pursuing... Pursue the person you like.
There's definitely hurt involved, but if you're afraid then don't wander into that path.

That's up to you man. It's okay to do it but how long can you keep that up? We are supposed to love even our enemies but that ain't easy to do.

Yes. Love isn't good for anything if you don't give it away. It is bad to stay with someone that doesn't love you back though, because just like a fire, if you are the only one putting wood into it, sooner or later you will be out gathering wood and the fire will go out. So goes love.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I think I love a girl and I'm pretty sure she doesn't love me at all. And you know what? I don't care if people think it's not ok to love a girl even if she might not love you. And you shouldn't either. If you love her or think you might love her then keep working towards it and maybe someday it will come around.

Yes it is okay to love them, even if they don't love you back. They may even be your enemy. I like the Greek term for love which has four different meanings. They are:
Philea, Agape, Storge and Eros. See correct pronunciation and explanation of their meanings in Wikipedia under Greek love.
Briefly the meanings are outlined here:
Philea is the love of ones fondness for an individual or an object, which would denote personal attachment as a matter of sentiment or feeling. It denotes friendship toward family, friends and community. It is a dispassionate virtuous love.
Agape is the love which carries the meaning of love guided or governed by principle. It may or may not include effection or fondness. It could include the kind of love we feel toward another whom we have deep effection for and for those who may be our enemy, for such we are to love them as they are a part God's creation and we are concerned for their welfare. The storge love is the kind which is natural affection between parents and their offspring.

I guess it's ok. I love my bf like crazy, and I always say it but he's never said it back. He said he's waiting for the right time to say it, but he's always saying he cares about me a lot, but it gets annoying every time time I say "I love you", and he doesn't say it back. So I guess I'll just have to wait until He feels comfortable enough to say it......I guess that's life huh?

You cannot control WHO you love. So your answer is "YES". It is ok to LOVE whovever you want, what is NOT ok is to put your life on hold and wait around for this person to decide to love you back.
