Actually first babies tend to come later because the whole experience is new to your body.

Early,

Each of my pregnancies delivered earlier than the doctor said, but you never know,

He will tell you if your dialating, and how much

usually at 2-Cm its a good sign the baby will be here soon.

My advice is to be ready early or late. Watch for signs of labor like stomach getting tight, lower back pain . Have a suitcase packed and phone numbers of who you wish to call ready to go. Go ahead and have everything ready because you could go anytime. My last child was due Feb.10 but born Jan.30.
Good Luck

My boy was 11 days LATE! My sisters boy was 1 day late. My friends baby boy was 3 days late. I have two friends who had girls, both were early or on time. Strange the way that works! Good luck.

ALOT OF WOMEN GO IN TO HAVE THE BABY AT 2 WEEKS OVER DUE. SOME ALSO COME EARLY. IF YOU GO OVER TO MUCH YOUR DOCTOR WILL INDUCE LABOR.

I had my first son at 39wks. It all depends on when your baby is ready to come out. Anywhere from 37-42wks is normal.
