Tickling Babies Feet

2016-10-15 02:09:14 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

This is something that changes a babies brain pattern the neurological function. The baby is not yet at an age were they understand the function that is happening and it can in some not many cause a shock to the system which in turn can bring on a sometimes mild epileptic seizure.
It is better to touch your baby's feet and help them get use to the function of the feet. One way to help with motor development is to get a chopstick or a pen and put it up to the toes of the baby. They will wrap the little toes around it.
Epilepsy is still unknown to what can physical bring on a seizure. But objects such as a strobe light, some video-games, such as the PlayStation,WI, some medicine in children can as well bring on this.

Over stimulation to the neurological nerve and tickling in babies can be construed as over stimulating. It is a function they are unfamiliar with. Most people do not enjoy being tickled until they are around 2 1/2 to 3 years old.

I don't think a little tickle is going to do anything but if you're worried about it...just don't!

I'm not sure but I think tickling is cruel. People don't laugh because it's funny, I think they laugh because it's like reflex to being tickled. I think it's cruel because they can't tell you when they've had enough. As a kid I used to laugh when adults tickled me but I didn't like the feel of it.

I am not sure that your not suppose to tickle young babies feet. What i am aware of is that if a baby is not breathing or unresponsive that your suppose to tap there feet to try to arouse them. There feet are very sensitive.

My grandmother told me that if I tickled my son's feet then he would have a stuttering problem when he gets older....of course, she also told me that I could get pregnant by letting a boy french kiss me......so much for that advice!!

Ask your doctor about an exercise routine. Regular exercise, such as walking three times a week, may reduce neuropathy pain, improve your muscle strength and help control blood sugar levels. Gentle routines such as yoga and tai chi might also help.
