They both look really quite attractive. The one on the left just got caught at a slightly bad moment I think. Certainly neither could be called ugly or even close to.
They dont strike me as a couple, (not sure why) but certainly would look just fine together!

Uglier? Neither one is ugly at all, they're both cute kids - and this lion doesn't lie.
I love piercings, so I'd say the girl with the lip ring is cuter.

The girl on the right has a more interesting face, imo, the one on the legft of the pic is more 'conventionally' pretty but to me that's a bit ordinary.
I prefer faces which have more to offer than model pretty pretty, it's a bit boring. That's my opinion, not a recipe for life, lolol!
Both of them are lovely young women!
As for what they'd look like as a couple ~ WTF? If they look happy together they'll look GREAT as a couple, if they look miserable, they won't.

Honestly, both ladies are cute. I prefer the taller lady though.
I don't think you should have used the word "uglier", it doesn't describe either of them.
I think they'd make a cute couple.

They both are adorable- I like their smiles. The girl on the left (my left) reminds me of a friend I have.
If I must choose, I choose the girl on the right.
