Massive recalls? I don't know. Recalls are designed to HELP protect the consumer. High oil prices are not set by the US government. Open borders? When were they EVER closed?

the war in Iraq has essentially removed the 3rd biggest producer of oil off the market, yes bush has had tons of control over the price of oil

open borders we have had, what we have not had until the last few months with a new congress is an administration willing to go after illegals and traitors that employ them

recalls, recalls happen when the government inspection services have not done they re job by preventing unsafe or poisonous products from being sold in the first place

all are signs of corrupt and/or poorly run government

thanks to the only qualification needed to join the bush team, loyalty

The recalls are proof that they do care.

Oil prices are driven by the world market.

You are right on the money, however, with open borders. That is the one thing on this list that the Federal Government actually should be concerned with and acting upon with all possible speed.

Ron Paul will get my vote. No, the government does not care about you, and I disagree with the statement above regarding the constitution. The constitution is intended to protect U.S. citizens.

The Preamble to the US Constitution specifically mentions, "Promote the General Welfare..." to me and most Constitution scholars this means to "care for its citiznery", it does NOT mean give Trillions to other countries, it doesnt mean breaking strikes by Air Traffic Controllers or Auto Workers, etc.

Not to mention the fact that handing a dollar to a hungry American kid is some kind of Republican sin, but giving HALF a TRILLION Dollars to Iraq is somehow ok. Will we ever see that money again? Or will it simply go to higher profits for Exxon, Gulf and Chevron?

Hundreds of Millions of dollars in taxpayer funded subsidies going to Big Oil , so they can increase refinery capacity and lower the cost of gasoline, except they have announced, due to people using less and buying greener, mnore efficient autos, they have shelved all plans to expand refinery capacity. Will we ever see THAT money back in the US Treasury?

Halliburton charges the US Taxpayer $100 per day per soldier to feed them in Iraq and Afghanistan. 144,000 troops times $100 per day. Menawhile, they subcontracted the meals to a Bulgarian contractor who charges them $3.00 per meal. Will we see any of THAT money back?

Massive layoffs and plant and factory closures in the US, so Big Business can use Mexican or Indian labor instead. Hundreds of millions of laid off workers, so the CEO can award himself $220 million bonus he neither deserves nor earned. What about THAT money?

You live in a democracy. It is not only your right, but your obligation to make the government work for you. Why do you think your forefathers wrote the second amendment?

Price of oil has nothing to do with Bush.

Recalls? Maybe. The government could monitor quality better.

Borders? Bush is far from conservative here.

But all things considered, this is a great government and country.

Yes, it is proof. They can't identify with average people, and only serve their corporate buddies.

If you're not rich you don't even show up on their radar.
