Possibly.
I think that the days of the "career politician" need to come to an end. These men "serving" for twenty and thirty years is just ridiculous.

I am a firm believer in term limits and I do like the 1 - 6 year term for President. I would also like to see Senators and Congressmen only serve 6 years. I am very tired of seeing these men and women who go to Washington and buy homes because they have been feeding at the public trough for so many years.

Interesting thought! Term limit of one 6 year term... I like it. That way no one can serve for so long, and sometimes 4 years is not enough to finish what they started.
Now, I also think we should have term limits for House and Senate. That way we can finally clean house and elect representatives who will do the business of the American People.

I think it would be better to have the President and Congress stand for re-election every two years, but they could serve until they're defeated. We won't always have bad Presidents. Imagine if a Rosevelt or a Washington was elected, you wouldn't want to get rid of a good one, would you?

I support a one term limit for all politicians. If you want to bump the term up to six years that's fine, only if you reduce the term limit to one.

No worse. Every election in the States is bought these days by campaign funds. At least a really bad president can get spotted in four years and maybe ousted.

No, because if the wrong person gets elected - as now for example, you have to wait longer to get rid of him. It would be better if we didn't keep electing the same people over and over and and made lobbying illegal. If you pay a person to vote the way you want you will be arrested but this is business as usual in our state and federal capitals.

I think that if we had a poor leader for 6 years would be bad. Could you just imagine if we had Carter, Bush 41 and Clinton in for 6 years straight?
