USF has probably theie toughest game coming up Thursday night. If they go to NJ and win this game, then will all the doubters quit asking why they are ranked so high? Or do they still need to run the table and go undefeated?

Of course they need to run the table to prove everyone wrong. I have to hope they lose so Florida can make a good bowl game, but I secretly almost want them to win out. I think USF winning out and playing in the national championship will bring a playoff system closer to becoming a reality. They are a good team... it isn't because I think they suck that a playoff system will become more realistic. I think most people will see it as they haven't proven themselves against top tier teams from stronger conferences. They deserve their spot right now. Rankings are week by week. They should also handle Rutgers on Thursday too.

Rutgers is tougher than Auburn and W Virginia (who USF have already played)? Come on now ...

Rutgers is ranked 48 - they aren't the same team as 2006. USF should win it easily but I don't think that will prove much. #2 beating #48? Hardly makes a case for USF being so badly over-rated and over-ranked.

It's going to be a different environment for the Bulls this Thursday night. If they win this game easily like a 2nd ranked team should, then it will quiet some critics, but not all. If they run the table and play in the BSC National Championship Bowl and get blown out, like Ohio State did last year, this will be one step closer to a playoff, just like ufwalk07 said. Maybe this is what we need to blow this whole BSC garbage up in flames!

USF is a solid team and I hope that they win out and play in the the Championship game, so that everyone will complain. Then maybe they will have a playoff or a +1 game. They are not in the vaunted SEC, so nobody respects them.

Well, since If isn't going to happen, the rest of your question is moot.

Rutgers beats South Florida on Thursday night in Piscataway.
