A fox will kill a kid goat, not an adult.

Foxes are hunters and will capture and kill animals. However a goat is probably going to be larger then a fox would want to go after. They general limit their prey to animals the size of rodents and birds. Foxes are also scavengers, and would eat a dead goat if they found one.

It is unlikely that a fox would try to kill an adult goat.

Foxes are generally omnivorous and though they prefer meat, they also eat nuts, berries and any sort of fruit. It is not uncommon for them to eat vegetables and even grains. Many species of fox (especially Red Foxes) tend to prefer living close to human settlements especially farms. They are smart animals and realize that this is a hunting haven for them as they have access to mice, rabbits as well as the farmer’s poultry and crops.

Gifted with a keen and good judgment of smell and hearing foxes make superb hunters. Those living in the wild tend to be better hunters. They easily uncover birds' nests or animal burrows and dens. They eat almost anything including eggs, frogs, lizards, earthworms, insects, and if desperate for a meal even decaying animal flesh. They are generally nocturnal hunters and often bury any uneaten food so that they can come back for it when they are hungry.

i don't think of you should placed your dogs down. as we communicate there is no rather info pointing out that your dogs have killed the goat. obviously it seems undesirable that both goat and dogs appeared to have found a excess of the fence, yet till you've convinced info that the dogs are the killers do no longer euthanize them. examine their feces for hair or any signs and indicators of the 'ripped aside' goat. I also agree so that you may get some style of surveillance for the dogs section and save them interior in the mean time.

Fox are skiddish and goats seem to be agressive unless it's something they just can't beat, so I don't know but I don't think that they do. I think they eat smaller things like chickens and little rodents.

There was on old fox,
who swallowed a goat,
he swallowed a goat to catch the badger,
he swallowed a badger to catch the mongoose,
he swallowed the mongoose to catch the spider,
he swallowed the spider to catch the fly,
he swallowed the fly, we don't know why,
perhaps he,ll die..

As you can see from this well known nursery rhyme, foxes can eat goats but it may prove fatal........

only if it was dead

Foxes are opportunist feeders and whilst their diet will include scavenged food, they mainly eat earthworms, rats, mice, insects and sometimes fruit.

Foxes will kill pet rabbits and guinea pigs if they can reach them so care must be taken to secure outdoor hutches so they can not ne opened by a fox. Foxes do not usually attack cats and are generally frightened of them

Not adult ones. They'd never be able to kill one. Goats are well hard! A new-born goat might be vulnerable though.
