The United States Senate drafted a letter condemning Rush Limbaugh for the phoney soldiers comment. This letter was no more then a smear attempt on Rush. Anyone who knows anything of the history of Rush knows how he is loved by the military and he has always backed the military.

Rush put that letter on Ebay and is auctioning it off ..proceeds going to a fund that helps the children of fallen Marines and police officers. Rush said he will match whatever the letter autions for and challanged the dems who wrote and signed the letter to do the same. Will any of the dems meet this challenge for the children??

C'mon.... democrats are only generous with other peoples' money, not their own.

Letters of condemnation for something so trivial as this are a fraud, and a complete waste of time. They are just an excuse for Congressmen to not do any real work. Certain people love idle meetings that take them away from their legitimate and important work, which requires the need to actually think.

Let's face it; some congressmen live to be part of judicial review panels so they can expound on pointless subjects such as Clinton’s immorality or Limbaugh's problem with pain killers instead of performing the hard, tedious work of drafting and revising legislation. They want the opportunity to goof off and sanctimoniously mug for the cameras.

The soldiers should draft a letter of their own! They could praise Limbaugh and villify the lilly-livered Congress. Now how's that for the pen being mightier than the sword?

No the Dem/Scum will run away from the issue now that it has been shown that they were mislead by Media Matters. These idiots really ought to check the facts before they go off half ******. I have a copy of the letter and it's really quite funny to read the righteous indignation that these morons are spouting. Even Her Thighness, Queen Hillary signed it! And for any of you who doubt that Rush is well liked by the military, just ask any soldier what they think. They'll take Rush any day over Dingy Harry, Kennedy, Dick "The Turban" Durbin, Ms. Nancy and the rest of the back stabbing bums and surrender monkeys!

I read the Censure letter it was an attempt to silence a voice that objected with their reality. Rush might have by him self swung the election to the right, but not without the lefts help here.

Thank god the democrats did not get a veto over ride majority we'd be in a civil war right now.

No members of Congress and there were forty something that signed the letter, will donate a dime to this cause. I downloaded a copy of the letter from Rush's website last night, so it is available to anyone who might want a copy. People who listen to Rush know that he has always supported the troops, but most Liberals would miss that fact. I would be willing to bet that most of them only know him from the negative reports in the mainstream media or the trashy left wing websites, who spoon feed them information like Pablum.

Rush did not say he would match the highest bid. He challenged the Democrats to.

Rush Limbaugh sending his own money to charity?? That is funny! I seriously doubt that has ever happened!!

He got a letter for free and is donating it to a charity for which he is a board member. Think he is gonna get a sweet tax write-off for that??

The language he uses on that auction page is downright disgusting.

I hope the winning bidder turns it around on Rush and forces his to make an apology for the comments he made BEFORE making any kind of payment for the auction. Then we will see just how much Rush is willing to eat crow for charity!

EDIT: Are you feeling lonely yet for your MANLOVE for RUSH?

Rush's main problem is he can dish it out.. but sure whines a lot, and cries like a baby, when it's turned back on him.

Why should Dems give this anal cyst any more publicity then he already has? If any of the candidates want to donate money to a good cause they can do so, I would rather congress dealt with issues that mattered personally. Both the Moveon and Limbaugh condemnation are a waste of Congresses time. If that's all they have to talk about they should go back to their home state and ask their constituents what needs to be done in Congress.

You are so right. The Democrats don't know or want to know the truth! The truth is right in front of them on the internet. They won't look at it beacause it will prove how wrong they are.

BTW Rush is no longer taking drugs, he has been free of them for 2 years, it happens when people have certain ailments that become susceptable. Please don't throw stones when you live in a glass house.

No, the only money they would donate would be ours, so we might as well do it ourselves like we always do.

Turning Lemons into Lemonade. I personally no longer listen to Rush. At one point I owned his first two books. I do not believe that he meant that all the soldiers that protest the war are phony soldiers. He just back handed the serve to those in Congress. Will they play ball? Who knows.
