Why would you leave your son? You just said it's not getting any better so why leave your son in a situation like that? If it's too bad for you to be there, pack up your things, your sons things and get out before he gets worse.
I don't like it when people say that they HAVE to stay for the sake of a child. That not true. No one is holding a gun to anyone's head to force them to do that. (Boy, I hope not).
If you were to leave your son behind, all you will be accomplishing is letting his father teach him to be the way he is treating you. You should want more for your son than that.
Being a mom involves doing what is best for your child and staying in a bad situation is utterly ridiculous because your child will see it, live it, learn it and then act it. Is that what is best?

Why is that the only solution? I echo the other folks, leave and take your son with you. You can always find help, like at a shelter or halfway house. No worries, people will help, but you have to reach out and find them. Call the local non-emergency number for the police and ask. Take care, God bless.

If things are that bad with your partner, why would you want to leave your son in that situation? If you want to go, you have o take your son with you! Unless you consider yourself an unfit mother, than I will understand if you left your son behind, but if you do love your son and if you are a good mother, he must be with you at all times, a child needs their mother more than anything else in this world! I could never even dream about leaving my kids behind.

first of all, leaving your son is no way a solution. okay? walking away from the problem and ditching your son=selfish. if you cannot resolve your problems with your partner after exhausting ALL the efforts then if you must, go away with your son since you are the mother i'm sure you weigh more when it comes to rights to your child.

umm no. Dont just stay for the sake of your child, if you're clearly not happy just take your son and leave but either ways dont stay for the sake of your son.

Speaking as a child who's mother left. TAKE HIM WITH YOU!!! Trust me on this if you leave take him.... never ever walk away from your children. You will regret it and your child will always resent you for it no matter what they say. It is the worst feeling in the world to think your mommy doesn't love you anymore.

Whatever you do, do NOT leave your son. That would devastate that boy if you did. If you are having problems with your "partner" go see a Lawyer; Social Worker; Priest, Pastor; Rabbi or Fancily members. and ask for help.

Never stay for just the sake of a child. It sends the message that unhappiness is something that is ok to live with.

you dont need to leave your son though if you dont like him or hate him is another thing.

you can live separately for one year later on if you want it permanent you can file for divorce.

you dont have to give up your son you can have custody of him or you can visit him regularly.its you who decided to bring him in this world.you cant just leave him.look after him give him love and affection.try to build him into the right kind of man.if he is small just keep tabs on him so he is not molested.

If you really can't take your son, then just leave.

If it is a violent/dangerous situation, then get the police involved.
