There is one reason and one reason only MONEY.Do you work because you like working? I doubht it.You work because you need the money and want the money.Microsoft is just a big money company same with all the other companys.They dont really care what they do for us they only care about how much money they make from there products.

Your choice .. many others have already moved their central User Administration, File and Database Servers over to LINUX + other Open Source software and only their Desktops are still running a (cost effective) MS Operating System (such as XP Pro) + MS Office 2000.

There will always be some employees who have to have the 'latest & greatest' VISTA equipped 'power' PC, however most sensible organisations leave that to individual Department budgets and either 'self support' or 'charged' support.
