Many of us have made changes in ou r corners of the world already. There are openly gay elected politicians, even transpersons that have made serious, not just token runs at office in the U.S. We are in every segment of society, teachers, doctors, law enforcement, the military, scientists, parents, etc...We can, and do everything any staright person does and do it quite well. When it comes to making the world a better place it's not a question of sexual orientation or gender identity but rather a matter ability and desire to effect positive change.

Honey. I dont know if you have looked around lately - but we have changed this world positively. We basically run the businesses of style and beauty. We have tons of influence of the fine arts. We've even had a gay president (though Harding was in the closet). That means we have made influence.
Oh and Jessica. People who dont like the idea of homosexuality are usually uneducated, conservative catholic or protestant christians, who wouldnt change their opinion if God came down and told them it was wrong himself. Those who embrace homosexuality are usually educated with careers and understand that psychologically and physiologically it is natural for two people of the same sex to have some type of attraction and in some cases its sexual. Just wanted to tell you.

I don't think I've seen any homosexuals running for office in the U.S. If one ran and they had good ideas I would vote for them. I think anyone can change the world, gay or straight. It's just that the people holding the power don't want the world to change for the better, and most of the people trying to get into politics aren't doing it for the right reasons.

no - i don't think that any "group" per sey will change the world positively. it hink some of the people in it can have a huge impact tho. that would be like saying if given the chance don't you think that militant migrant farmworkers will change the world positively?? or people with blond hair will. i think a group is only as good as the people who inhabit it and i think there are many phenomenal people who inhabit some not so phenomenal groups - so no is my answer.
one thing i would like to note here that has always confused me is why is it that people who seem to feel like they are misunderstood within society continually lump themselves into a group and tout the group as being able to change the world or what have you. so in essence the alienate themselves either by making themselves inferior or superior and then are mad at everyone else for something they themselves are doing. never got that!!

There are some homosexuals now that are changing the world positively. They are putting in their time, money, talents to make sure that all are being treated fairly.

You can change the world positively all by yourself and in your own little strength ! What chance do you want? Gays can be docs, designers, lawyers, managers and even more..thats positive! So dont you think the world is already feeling them? Remember once the people around you(society, commuinty) begin to need or appreciate what you do(professional)as an individual then your impact is being felt. And i think gay people are indeniably felt. .cheers

Sorry, I have never met a homosexual that I would vote for, yet. This is not to say that there aren't any, just haven't met/seen them yet. On the other hand many are working to change the world positively.

Anyone can change the world, doesn't matter if you are gay, straight, purple, orange, 2 heads, 6 eyeballs or whatever. It's all about commitment.

Some will and some won't. We are no different in our range of characters. We have both saints and sinners in our community and prob'ly in the same ratio as strait(sic) society.
