Gretl should be shorter than Marta. The older ones should be taller than the younger ones. The kids have to pass as family members and they have to line up at different heights according to age. That's it. I don't know why you would need it to be more specific than that.

I don't understand your fixation on numbers. You're supposed to be casting, not measuring. If you're going to reject a perfect Marta solely because she's 4' 4 1/8", you will have failed in your primary responsibility, which is to find children who can sing beautifully and act their parts convincingly. Nobody but you will give a flying flip about their exact heights in inches. It's not as if the audience are going to storm the stage with yardsticks in their hands.

I read that one of the boys grew a foot during the shooting! Marta was 10 and gretl was 5, let that be your guide.

Wait until you get to the audition , if there is a taller Kurt which is good , match him up with the taller Louisa and so on.

really you need to see what kids audition.. the heights need to be comparative that's it, UNLESS you are fitting pre-made costumes. Like I said before to a similar question they kinda need to be stair steps from the oldest to the youngest.
