I have Gary Golf and before that I had Alice Astra, its not weird to have a name for your car, the small voices in my head say its perfectly normal!

My mother had a car we called Rust Bucket - it passed MOTs etc but God knows how! We lived in Malta for a year and all the lorries had names. Roy Rogers, Virgin Mary, the largest lorry was called Live and Let Die. There was a bus called Perkins - which was deadly! and the dung lorry was called Hotlips and had to be avoided at all costs. Our little van was Age before Beauty.

When I was a kid, we had names for our cars. My folks had an old yellow and black Dodge - about a 1955 - of some model or other, and it was "The Yellowjacket", but the best one was an old 1947 Plymouth that my dad had for a while as a work car (it was about 20 years later), and my sister and I called it "The Hoopie" !

every car should have a name! mines called Heinz(it's a 57 plate) i change my car a lot and they different names!! p.s i lost the plot years ago!

Several, but it's working okay now. Seriously though, I've heard it's the custom for v.w. beetle owners to name their cars. Checked it out with a few and I confirm it's true.
