now that the postal strikes have ended, if i post a important letter to the inland revenue first class will it get there tommorrow? Or will the back log of mail hold it up?

Hi there is a backlog of post due to the postal strike and there will be an average of a 2 week backlog of mail however from novermber ish there should be now backlog

Whhhaaaat? R U kidding? I sent a letter 40miles and it took weeks to get there. Another I sent futher and it took more than a month. Sent one a long distance 700 miles and it got there next day. This was not during a strike.
Of course there is a back log. My pal sorter needs the overtime money that is paid because of the back log.

I'd say 80% chance of it being held up. The only real chance of getting there tomorrow is to hand-deliver.

if i was you i would go in the post office and ask what is your best option. it may be best to post special delivery or something like that, it does cost more but if it is that important it is worth it.
