Two old men had been best friends for years, and they both live to their early 90's, when one of them suddenly falls deathly ill. His friend comes to visit him on his deathbed, and they're reminiscing about their long friendship, when the dying man's friend asks, "Listen mate, when you die, do me a favour, will ya? I want to know if there's football in heaven."

The dying man said, "We've been mates for years, this I'll do for you." And then he dies.

A couple days later, his surviving friend is sleeping when he hears his friend's voice. The voice says, "I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is that there's football in heaven."

"What's the bad news?"

"You're goalkeeping on Wednesday."

That's cute!
I was thinking about your question as a serious one, and trying to decide.
Heaven will be perfect, and I know some people who couldn't imagine life without their favorite sport, and so for them a place without it wouldn't be perfect or their idea of paradise.

But heaven will also be free from pain and suffering, so maybe it's just touch football (no contact???)

And it is said that there are no tears in heaven, and as seriously as some folks support their teams, wouldn't they cry if their team lost????

What would the team names be?
Angels, Saints, Cardinals?

I HOPE NOT!!! I GET SICK AND TIRED OF EVERY WEEKEND TAKEN UP BY SPORTS ON TV! THERE IS MORE TO LIFE THAN A STUPID SPORTS GAME OF SOME KIND.

Yeah, I know all you avid boob tube fans will give me thumbs down but that is OK...I enjoy some sports too, but I just don't like a steady diet if it. I have better things to do with my live.

IT was a good joke though but have heard it a long time ago.
