I'm an interior designer and I want to buy a a laptop (pc excluded at this point) or a mac respectively. I would like to know which is better and why. Any suggestions about the programms I shall use (AutoCad, 3dMax , etc) are deeply appreciated.

Do the programs you are going to use have mac versions?

If they don't then you'll probably find you have to install windows anyway so there'd probably be no point buying a mac unless you want Mac OS X.

Macs nowadays are just PCs with a more 'fashionable' design and Apple's OS (and an 'enhanced' price).

If you are really an interior designer then you already know that a Mac is more adept at what you want a computer for. PC's shine in mathmatical computing but Mac's are best for graphics.

I can't claim to know much about it, but if you are serious about design then the Mac beats the PC hands down on graphical applications.
