Only two people from the first mission landed on the moon - they were Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin. Michael Collins, the third member of the crew, stayed in lunar orbit to pilot the Command Module.

There were only two men that landed on any Apollo mission, the third astronaut remained in orbit around the moon.
The first two to land on the moon were Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
