Good personnel management of rural population. He knows what the priorities of requirements of village population are. His straightforward nature too is responsible. He is able to contain communal forces abruptly & goondaas too. See, before he came Bihar was witnessing big riots every year & burning of entire villages of SC & ST people every week but during his rule nothing like those happened, a great achievement indeed. His selection of highly capable bureaucrat Shri Sudhir Kumar of bold calculated decisions particularly about goods trains pending for 3 decades wholly changed the Railway Ministry & its efficiency tremendously giving huge profit of over Rs 20,000 crore this year. This is really a great achievement in history . Credit certainly goes to Laloo Prasad Yadav, M.A. otherwise even Sudhir Kumar's name too would have been lost in oblivian. Laloo is really a great man of great calibre, undoubtedly. Communalists will never agree but who cares them. There is a lesson to be learnt. Never ridicule anybody by one's language of talk or accent as only meaning of one's speech & understanding is important . After all, he doesn't talk in provocative & abusive language, contrary to the standard of most of Indian political leaders. TV men call him joker but by his performance he made them real jokers who only criticise & never help by providing new good ideas or suggestions. Laloo was going to be give an honourary doctrate degree by a reputed university but he kicked that degree off & belived that performance is more important than that & by performance he proved that the degree he deserved.

As you told if it is secret how we know, any how these are few things thats need to follow to get success in politics, even in life:
1) There no permanent enemies, that we should always be politeness even with our enemy.
2) Exposing opinions in a straight forward, it should seems like that even it's not true.
3) Be silent in confusing situation, like all people debating about us.
4) Be patience until opposite person version complete.

Success in what sense ? I think he was a miserable failure in Bihar and railways too (never mind what the management gurus and IIMs tell, they arent on right track either)
If taking a state to bankruptcy, showing increased profits by compromising quality, development etc, wearing a deception mask to will fully deceive your own people is success then well he is successful else from my angle he is a miserable failure.
Oh and since when did Yadavs become Backward ? I thought Krishna was a Yadav and also a king and pretty rich.
