do you do it because you love him, or because of your Ego?

probably a bit of both.

Spying on someone you love is never a good idea, but hey we've all done it at some time in our lives.

A loving relationship is built on a foundation of trust, and spying destroys that trust and creates a huge credibility gap. Especially if the one being spied on is doing nothing wrong.

Of course if you love someone, and they have actually given you clear signs they are cheating, and you are not an insecure and jealous person normally, then the quest to find out the truth is very normal.

If you want to add to your question and state why you suspect he's cheating, I can answer more specifically.

When a woman loses the trust she had in her husband, it no longer is a question of love. Now it is territorial and it eats at her own insecurities. Thus the spying begins. If she doesn't find what she is looking for she will look harder, set up sceanrios, the barrage of demands for explanations that will never satisfy her. It gets worse! Once a woman suspects her husband of cheating, I don't think she really ever recovers the damaged trust. That hurts the relationship.

I would do it because this is my life and I have every right to know what is going on in my world. If i were to suspect that my husband were cheating that thought would not be happening without a good reason. If he is doing something that could indicate that he is betraying me I would have the right to protect my life from a possible life threatening disease if he is not going to protect me. It would have nothing here to do about any ego here.... he is my husband and he made a commitment to me and if he is up to no good this would affect my whole life with him. If he is hidding something like that I would have the right to know and make a choice about our relationship if he is not being right to me. If I did find out that he was cheating It would give me the chance to put a stop to it so that we could work on the problem before it got out of hand and went to far. That is if he wanted me to stay in his life and wanted to make it work.

I used to worry about it all the time, but it was damaging our marriage. Now, I feel I should just trust him, and if he is cheating on me, then I'm a chump for believing in him. But why worry about something that probably isn't happening anyway.

Ya! for" love".....Everybody does that now....But make sure to accept the consequences of what you might have discovered,if you would wanna spy on him....Some wive's just doesn't have the guts to do it sometimes...But,It's better to know, than not to know about anything. And for your own content...But,if your not ready yet,and don't wanna loose him, just 4get about it...they say "what u won't know"... "won't hurt you"...So it's up to you to make a choice.....

Because of both... Who wants to find out their husband is cheating, no one. Who wants to lose someone they love no one! I hope he is not...

EGO. If you loved him, you would be making love to him so often so he doesn't have the energy to cheat on you.

you do it because of your feelings of vulnerability and low self esteem...or you do it because he has proven to be
so if you suspect..it just might be a gut instinct

Both I think. You wouldn't do it if you didn't love him. You may also do it if you have insecurities.

Not sure really - sorry
