On the whole I go for brains over brawn. No point being with someone who looks great, but is as thick as a brick.

Academically smart has the advantage in that they will probably earn a good living, can treat you well, have a decent conversation and will never be boring - but as a turn on? Muscles and a uniform do it for me EVERY TIME! athletes and a brain? No, it just doesn't go together does it.

My other half was the intellectual type with the physique of a rugby prop forward, so being thin and weedy or podgy is only a stereotype in relation to intellect.

Well even though the intelligent guy can be a great stimulation for the brain, i also prefer the physical side to the man. He doesn't have to be extremely well built, but has to resemble a man. :) Being very honest.

I think that finding someone sexy is a mixture of lots of things. Someone being althletic isn't important, but taking care of yourself is.. Being an intellegent person that challenges people is important, but seeming to know EVERYTHING isn't.. What is a beautiful mind? I think it's someone who is positive, funny and kind, who you can have a meaningful discussion with.. Not someone who is guaranteed to give you the right answer on who wants to be a millionaire!!

These are the men that become surgeons, CEO's, academics, Top Managers ..etc
They possess high level of morals and ethics (not all but majority).
These are great values and traits to bring up a child.
You seem very shallow.

I find intelligence way more sexy than a body any day!Having an ego is fine and normal really,but making it an issue is too vain for my liking..A "real man" as you put it is not a bodybuilder,he's secure in who he is not what he looks like..=)
