What are the very important features that you look for in a website and what are the content you look for to be your favourite or best website

I look for:
- speed of loading
- instant interest
- terseness
- writing skills, grammar, spelling, etc.
- an obvious revealing of the purpose of a page
- consistency between pages
- easy navigation
- good organization
- ease of access by the disabled
- compatibility with multiple browsers and computers
- content visibility even when style sheets, javascript, java, images, and colors are disabled
- value of content

A website can have the best content in the world but if it has no design to it I probably wont bother reading it. All in the presentation.

For me, a web-site that shows (in obvious steps) the information you are looking for. It has to be specific and non-generalising. Ie. If you have a defined range, ensure that those ranges you are advertising are broken down into their availability to specific areas.
It has to be visually appealing, make the text and backgrounds appropriately contrasting. No madly-flashing images. Not overly laden with advertising that causes the user's machine to constantly have to refresh due to DNS problems. More importantly, it has to be found on first 2-3 pages of a web-search.

Depends on what you look for. A web site can be looked as an electronic book. it's content will vary and different people will be interested on the subjects it contains.
So a web site that might be well created (google.com, yahoo.com, microsoft.com) might be suited for some audience and others also well created are more suitable for other people (cnn.com, youtube.com, apple.com)
Essentially people looks for updated content and ease to use web site (google.com and yahoo.com)

the website full with fun and information.....downloable songs, wallpapers..... and some suitable links inside....enough for me.
