I've found out that iron-on transfers don't last long, according to what most people say, so I'm thinking of silkscreening or directly painting on the shirts. I'd like to ask what's the best kind of paint to use on fabric? All I know is textile paint, but I've been hearing a lot about acrylic. Any pros and cons for the two? And any other paint suggestions? Thanks!

I use DYLON fabric paints.
I've been using them for years and so far have had no problems at all(other than on the ideas front).

In most cases it isn't strictly PAINT at all but screen print ink; NOT water based.

Longevity of the design will also depend; in large part; on the abuses of the T shirt; Laundering; etc.

Screen Printing and it's various segments is an easy look up with the WWW; browser; keywords in a search.

Plastisol ink wears a long time fairly easy to apply, but it needs to be cured with heat
