I also don't have a high opinion of the deviantart site. Why be a commoner to the desperately backward if you can be avant garde to the masses?

Lengthy and also based on a false premise. We are not all part of the same thing. Cells in a body have an interest in working together whereas people often have interests that conflict. The same person who wrote this quote is probably the same idealist who would think communism is a great idea. Communism and even one-body dreams are great warm fuzzies but they can't overcome the ugly reality of human nature.

Absolutely right. This is what the philosophy says. All of us are part and parcel of God. There is absolutely no meaning in hating and hurting each other.
If every body thinks that there is God in everybody, nobody can hate anybody. But unfortunately this fact that all are from the same origin is forgotten and ignored and due to selfishness people start hating each other. Most of the problems we are facing today are easily avoidable and international brotherhood can be achieved.

All of us are in a barrier of our own. This barrier is our mind which we cannot see.
Our mind gives us emotions which are similar to other peoples. It also makes us think like each other to a certain extent helping us perform certain projects together like how cells perform certain functions with each other.
This makes us similar.
This quote is very deep and one has to look beyond the words to understand it. That is from my point of view.

If we were all less self indulgent the world would be a better place. Start small, the next time someone hurts your feelings let it slide maybe they saw you as a threat to their way of life. Is there anything you can say or do to alay their fears.

Totally true. We are interdependent and need each other to survive just as much as we compete. Everyone has their own good points but they don't see it as much as someone else's sometimes.
