You have a fear of moths and this is driving your behaviour.

Yes you did miss the class but as you report it the room was full of moths. Tell your parents and the teachers about this and you can learn to get over this fear.

It will change your life.

You were not in the wrong, ask your parents for help.

No, you're not in the wrong. Some people have very serious phobias against bugs. One of my friends freaks out when they see a bee. If I were you, I would talk to my parents about it. Maybe they could talk to the teacher and get your detention reversed.

No, def not. But you would need to talk to either that teacher or your head of year.
Phobia's are common and a teacher should respect you for being honest about it.
Good luck with School hope this all gets sorted.

Absolutely not! My daughter is 19 and she is terrified of crickets. She is a normal well adjusted college student with no other fears with the exception of the whole cricket thing. So no you were not in the wrong.......your teacher was for not being sensitive about your fears.

No, if you truly were scared. Teachers don't always seem understanding, and you know they don't get paid to be nice. Forget it honey. I hate spiders. No big deal. Take a fly swater to school.

You gotta be brave and bite the bullet - face your fears head on. No time like the present. Living a life of fear isn't really living at all.

It sounds like your teacher thought you were just trying to get attention
