I had myself raised this question and I did receive the same type of answers as you have got here... especially from the so-called well-to-do people.
I think we are deteriorating as a human being as we are progressing materially through science, politics and economics. At this rate, we would not be much better than a robot in a few generations time. The way our human values are eroding is indeed scary and detestable. I would blame our values rather than any Government or even politicians or economists, because it is the erosion of our values that reflects in their ideas and actions.
Just imagine the plight of humankind here.... everyday there are 35000 people on earth dying due to starvation..... this being the situation when at any point in time, there is enough food in the world to feed more than one and a half times its population... it is the saddest part of our intelligence and ego that we are unable to see any flaw in the way we operate and cooperate despite such a sorry state of affairs on the most important area of our necessity, that is food. What is the use of all the research, technology and wisdom if we can not find a way for the excess food to reach where it is needed.... if we can not fulfill this basic requirement of mankind, we have no right to call ourselves the most intelligent being on earth!!!!
Thanks a lot for raising a really crucial question yawning before the mankind's utter insensitivity to his own kind!!!!!!

The poor you will always have with you...
In fact increased human survival incrreases the number who could become poor and starving.
Those who are in a position to have unequal funds do not see the benefit in shifting those entirely to the support of others.
it is unlikely that colonisation will reduce the population pressure or hunger in the immediate future: see the failure of colonisation to address the problem, even those specifically targetted at this in public (Japan in China for example)
Only intelligence in the face of poverty ultimately prevails. Ireland's population is hardly increased since the 19th century
Governments are not in the business of idealism.
Science says let us do what is possible, and if the Goverenment feels it will be attractive, they back it. it becomes a badge of their differential success.
It isn't just about governments, its about people who ultimately see no virtue in giving all up all for the sake of keeping increased numbers of others alive. Inequalitty feels good.. This reasoning is falsifiable in theory, but it prevails.

I think ... it's more a great notice and lecture than a question.
You know some people say there's benefits for all the human kind generally, and I don't know what was the benefit of Stepping on the moon for the babies dies at the moment because of having no food.... , some say people like to explore new things, and I want ... to know... what's it like to know about life on mars ... when you have to wait for somebody to come and destroy your life, and no security .... and some.... and some other ..... , some, like you, make me think if there's an escape.... then remember it needs the World to decide it,..... then think of a day that World is going to find a solution,...... then imagine to go and tell World my idea,..... and then remember that world is not at home because he has gone to find more money and power .... then I feel needing a cry, then I lough to myself. How stupid I am ......

Do you know what you get when you feed the poor?
YOU GET MORE POOR.
You want to know what we're doing right.
Most of the poor are in somebody else's country.
But this makes you feel guilty instead of proud doesn't it?
Wealth is created by finding more efficient ways of doing things.
And the most efficient way of finding efficiencies is a free market and a basic sense of morality. But you think Capitalism & Religion are the problem, don't you?
The most efficient way to make things is when a lot of people work together to do it. But you think corporations are evil, don't you?
The greatest tools of the modern age, in terms of transferring and processing information are computers and the internet. Now computers were largely developed from space technology and the internet came from the military. But you think military and space research spending is a waste, don't you?
You cannot end poverty by stealing from the successful to give to losers. You must reward success and teach losers successful lifestyles. Africa is poor because it is largely composed of vicious amoral Socialists or Hakuna Matatas. Efficiencies cannot develop there because Socialism is too short sighed to reward the entrepreneurs who create them.
I respect pimps and pushers more than liberals, because they at least have figured out wealth comes from the free market.
I even respect thieves more than liberals, because they show the personal initiative to do their own thieving, instead of electing left wing Socialists to do it for them.
As for America's poor, aside from being fed up with lack of Political action to end massive importation, I must defer to the late great Sam Kennison who said: "If you can't make it in America, where on Earth do think you CAN make it."
I really do respect your compassion for the poor. I just happen to believe you are against everything that would actually help them.
Too me liberals are like someone who goes around telling fat people they should hate the thin, instead telling them to copy their lifestyle.

Because the goverments think that the research of space benefits mankind in general. they think that every human being will benefit equally from space research especially if we find life. On the other hand, helping the poor and needy means giving funds only to a few people. People feel that the poor should earn their own living and not live off the earning of others. Even more so when that money can be used to benefit a whole race.

God watches and looks after all his slaves on Earth. If other humans don't look out for needy or poor humans, such humans could trust and relay on God. As for the research thing in space, it's part of human nature to explore the unknown to them. Money could also be used on needy or poor people instead of being tremendously used in wars.

One considerable answer could explain for your asking.do you know that human beings usually to be interested in exploring new thing?.Something are more difficult and bizarre, people are more curious. That make us develop consecutively. As a consequence, exploring the universe enrich human knowledge, researching new natural theories. For example,by understanding universe,we launched space station to observe all around the our planet.Information from this station help us decrease many consequences from storm.hurricane, fire forest,...

The poor and weak are a a burden to the wealthy and powerful. They would rather see them disappear,so they can continue getting richer and more powerful without having to be responsible for their welfare. Satan is strong at the moment. He is winning more souls than God is. He has the rich and powerful just where he wants them,so they better look out .
