The Angle button is there on the remote chance your DVD was filmed from 2 different `angles`of the same shot. Most Directors could not bother to do this as it is a waste of time and money, The best use for this would be at a sporting event where multiple cameras are used and you wish to see a highlight from different aspects of the cameras.

Back in the day DVDs were going to be released with multiple shot views on them from different angles... once in a blue moon you actually come across a DVD with that feature but they're very far and few between. Typically its not even on the main film but in the extras.

The technology and the feature are both present and working fine. But the movie companies do not really make use of the feature. Since it's part of the standard, it's still included even though pretty much nobody uses it.

Some movies supposedly have different angles shot for some scenes. I have yet to encounter one that does have that feature.

well, it does work. I think they make porno movies that use that function. At least that is what I have been told.
