I briefly remember being able to order 50 off the menu. Someone said there might have been a 100 as well.

The largest I remember is 50 piece. They stopped selling them in large quantities shortly after the San Ysidro McDonald's massacre.

The 50 pack was introduced in 1983; now it is said to mainly be available around Super Bowl time (I have never seen them in quantities of 50).
As one answer said there was a mass murder in San Diego in 1984. Three years later, the widow of the murderer sued McDonald's claiming that the large quantities of McNuggets her husband ate and the MSG they contain caused her husband harm. The case was dismissed. I do not see a citation stating whether or not this murderer ordered the 50 pack or not or even if it was available where he lived.

They did have a very short time a 50 piece bucket but it was only for like 6 weeks. They were probably just offloading their products from low sells and nuggets backing up the freezers.

In the 70's there was large bucket but i don't think it was mcDonalds?? it was KFC, something like 50 piece chicken party bucket..for picnicers?!!
an old fast food place i remember as kid was union jack had a bucket o' fish and fixins..like fries and coleslaw with it.. i think $10.95

Most I have ever seen was 20. I couldn't even finish those, I don't know how someone could finish 50 or even 100. After the first 10 I was sick of them and stuffed.

Yes in MN it was called the wild pack named after the mn wild hockey team,it was a 50 piece chicken mcnugget.Man talk about all those calories!

around the superbowl the last few years, the mcdonalds where i'm at (nc) offered 50 piece buckets.
