We read about entrepreneurial legend Richard Branson proudly defending the marvellous British legal maxim of 'innocent until proven guilty'.........

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/10/15/nmaddy115.xml

Given the extremely limited knowledge about the case thus far, just how awestruck should we be that one man is brave enough to risk public condemnation from people infinitely less important than him by reminding us all of what has made the magnificent British legal system the envy of the world?

This timely reminder of what is most important in this case - the girl - is a lesson to all, and will hopefully send an extremely healthy message to those newspapers whose calamitous reporting is indicative of muddled minds mired in the sort of rabid thinking found in psychotic football hooligans.

The Daily Telegraph is to be applauded for rising above such guttersnipes.

The only interest Mr Branson has in the McCann case is personal. He wants Northern Rock, the prime minister wants someone to bankroll the McCanns. A clear case of you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours.

Mr Branson is a business man first and foremost. I doubt if there will ever be justice for little Madeleine.

These days we seem to live in a world where people are so quick to pass judgement on others with little knowledge of fact..we all have opinions based on gut feeling, but it's sad when people are so quick to think the worst in eachother.

Richard Branson has made millions from having a gut feeling that something is right...and to be honest it doesn't matter to me whether the McCanns turn out to be innocent or guilty...the message Branson sends out is one of decency and compassion.

You're so right...the man IS a legend and what he is doing for the McCanns has restored my faith in human nature.

Well everybody is entitled to their opinion on this case. Branson is obviously doing what he feels is right which is the sort of bloke he is. However, myself and other people have different opinions and we will be free to air them in any way that we choose.

By the way r u a Mushy?
