well i think we all run to him bcoz we get a spiritual healing and a hope generates for positive answers and help we looking forward when we see no help or answers from anybody we know here whether friends relatives even strangers there we go to god for the hope he generates in us which fills us with positive energy and a zeal to find ways out for our problems and once it is answered by letting us know/find the way or solution (this can be a thought in our mind or some help or guidance appearing from nowhere which compels us to think god has sent) we feel so comfort that everytime we face some problem we remember him and run to him, besides he is the supreme power that's also make us to go to him that as being a supreme power he has all answers.

God doesn't come out and help you!God will show the way and you have to trust him.
Once a man was driving along the hilly area and met with an accident and he was thrown out of the car!He could get hold of a tree and he was hanging there for long time!Beneath him there was a big cliff! He creid to God for help and suddenly there was a voice that said
'son, leave your hand!' He couldn't see anybody but the voice continued to say the same thing! He did not trust that voice and did not leave his hand! And the voice just vanished away! After sometime he got too tired to hold on
and he fell to death!! What
if he had trusted the voice ?!'
Now a days we don't have trust in God so
we don't get any help!

Why? For some it is out of faith. For others they are just grasping at straws, thinking that it will make things better. Science has proved that faith can help cancer/AIDs patients face their illness, etc. For some reason religion seems to help the human race cope with issues they can't handle or don't understand. As for the answers, yes and no. I don't pray much though I probably should, some have been answered and others have not. Of course the ones that were "answered" could just be coincidence. Who am I to say? If it helps you to turn to God go for it. I find comfort in speaking to friends/loved ones who have passed on. To each his own...

Yes God answeres in many different ways. Not usually like a lightening bolt or anything. Also, in his own time. Ever notice that after your Big Problem in life is over and most everything is good again.
God knows when and what is best for you...He/She Loves You..!!!

Like our biological father when we were still a kid, sometimes we run to our father if we have problems then our father would never turn his back to us.Like in the bible the father would not give a snake if his son asks for a bread...God is our father he always answers our problem but don't wonder if it doesn't come instantly, he plans everything.

Probably we want a third party to handle our problems. Moreover, it is always a one way communication with God! You vomit all the issues in front of him/her and assume that he/she has listened to you carefully. He/she is not scolding you, harassing you, advising you, asking for service charges etc. and you leave with immense satisfaction that he/she is the right person to share your personal problems. The story repeats again and again because G O D always Gives On Demand (his/her blessings for your mischiefs)

Psalm 20 (New International Version)

1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress;
may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

2 May he send you help from the sanctuary
and grant you support from Zion.

3 May he remember all your sacrifices
and accept your burnt offerings.
Selah

4 May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.

5 We will shout for joy when you are victorious
and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the LORD grant all your requests.

6 Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed;
he answers him from his holy heaven
with the saving power of his right hand.

7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

8 They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.

9 O LORD, save the king!
Answer [a] us when we call!

I know if i ask God, He will help me and answer me in His own time not when i want it - if the Lord closes a door somewhere He opens a window

Dear Indy

Why you take cough syrup while you have cough?
Why you wear warm clothes when you feel cold?
Why go to doctor when you feel sick?
Why you go to school or a teacher when u have to learn something?

Coz you know what is the remedy to a particular problem or cause.

So my dear when nobody can solve our some particular problem, we pray to the Biggest Power, we believe who is GOD.

And for Sure He answered to all our prayers.......
