You can be whoever you want to be. I'd assume that's the logic behind it. They would rather be someone else besides themselves so they change things. I never quite understood it though because most people don't care, so why lie? I am who I am online and off. Even though you can't see the whole me, there's no reason to lie about it. I'm happy with myself.

I suspect some are alter egos.
People they would like to be but aren't quite brave enough yet.
Plus, a person can pretend to be that someone special on the internet so they can get a little feeling of what it might be like.
Does that make sense?
It isn't all that different than an actor portraying a character in a movie. But, at least we KNOW the actor is pretending. There is no deceit intended there.

Cuz it is fun to live vicariously through an alias because you feel as though you can't be that person in real life. You have a shield that erases all your flaws as you see them and make you who you want to be and not who you are and have to be on a regular basis. Simply: No self confidence(trust me i know, why do you think I answer this stuff I can pretend to feel lik ei know something of value). And i am talking about normal-like fakes not sexual predators.

unfortunately these are the only means in which people can speak honestly, and the good thing it's the only way to get an honest answer. other people either don't want to hurt your feelings and are not sincere, or they are selfish and will lie to hurt your feelings. As per your question, yes almost everyone hides behind the computer, but if this helps them keep their lives together HEY HEY more power to them and we are happy to help out.

I'm sure there are many reasons why people do things. It could be some kids trying to act older, some may fantasize about being someone they aren't,
I don't guess it really makes any difference, but I think you should be who you are, and if you don't like who you are, then take the steps to change it. Be happy with yourself.

no longer suitable now. possibly interior the previous yet purely whilst it became existence like. working example if somebody annoys me in genuine existence i might in all likelihood confer with them approximately it. while whilst i'm on line this is alot harder to have a existence like communique with somebody. quite as you won't be able to examine physique language or their seems and its harder to sympathise with them. you are going to be able to desire to count purely on tone of voice, or literal verbal exchange, which with some people is hardly ever revealing in any respect by using a destructive carry close of language. Becuase this is greater problematical to communicate, each and every physique is swifter to develop into bored with somebody and impolite. additionally there isn't any hazard of social rejection as a consequence, as you or your pals are actually not likely to ever knowingly meet this guy or woman.

Goto YouTube and Find Brad Paisley's song "Online".
It perfectly describes why.
